The Human Resource Assistant will focus on providing high-quality administrative support to the HR and Finance department. We are seeking an individual who is highly organized, able to quickly learn new skills, tools, and has a positive personality to be a part of a forward-looking agency. 

Available Opportunities:

  • 1 Temporary (3-month contract; 35 hours per week)

The Human Resources Assistant will: 

  • Provide confidential administrative support related to recruitment and selection processes, including posting employment opportunities, preparing recruitment materials, arranging interviews, and maintaining/archiving all recruitment files.
  • To provide back-up to Office administrative support 
  • Provide support to staff and leadership team on HR policies and procedures. 
  • Create and foster a positive culture through employee engagement and morale.
  • Assist with the implementation of the new HRIS software.
  • Assist, provide and develop various consistent processes across the agency. 
  • Provides high-quality administrative support in preparing documents and letters.  
  • Ensure the integrity of employee records with the maintenance of electronic and paper files.
  • Administrative tasks may include arranging catering, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, filing and other duties as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What you bring to WFC

  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pursuing or Completed a Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources or 5 years in Administration and Finance.  
  • Technological proficient;  experience in HRIS Software (Replicon, BambooHR) is an asset.
  • Able to effectively read, interpret, and communicate information, in a resourceful manner. 
  • Experience working in non-profit and/or union environment is an asset
